The Oil & Gas Industry & You

Oil and gas are common commodities in society. But just as most of us don’t know exactly how milk gets from the cow to the refrigerator, we also don’t know quite how oil and gas go from the ground to our gas tank or furnace. In particular, residents within EPZs we talk to in our public consultations sometimes wish they knew more about the drilling and production process so they could feel more confident asking questions about their risk or how they are affected.

So we’ve included this section to give a very brief description of the Canadian oil and gas (O&G) industry. It talks about how oil and gas go from the ground to the users and any issues on the way.
