EX/PX Energy Services got its start as Herriman Consultants through the entrepreneurial spirit of Beth Christiansen back in 1986. As time—and hard work—went by, her business grew to the point that it went from home office to commercial space, and from a few staff to many. They say the best bosses often put themselves out of a job (more like out of the hustle and bustle of their daily work) by hiring and training great staff and seeking shrewd investors. Beth managed to do so as well, and so in 2003, EX/PX continued its growth “under new management and ownership” with Art Hibbard and Gloria Wong and took on the new name of EX/PX Energy Services in early 2007.
Growth
Currently, we cater to clients both large and small and have dozens of plans
ongoing at any given time. Our growth continues and is based not only on demand
for our services but also on the availability of that most precious of resources:
staff. This work is highly specialized and staff for our niche don’t grow
on those proverbial trees. So we’re careful not to become victims of our
own success—if we can’t do it right, we simply won’t do it.
That being said, our people are motivated and we continue to be surprised at
how much work they can do in a day! However, we do have to give them time off
once in a while, so if you know someone who has the right talents and experience
and would like to work in the ERP business, get them to check out our website
to see if they’d like to apply.
Leadership
Just as our clients need ERPs to take into account the community they work in, so we also do not work in a bubble. Our staff have been involved in the oil and gas industry and its associations for many years, through membership and work in associations, boards, and committees. Emergency response is more than just a job to us, and we want to provide leadership and be involved in new initiatives and recommended practices to make our work better and safer.
Take a look at some of the more recent involvement by our staff:
